The Patience of Gaza

The Patience of Gaza Beneath the shattered stones, a heartbeat stays,Through nights of sorrow, through endless days.Children smile though the skies are gray,For faith in Allah lights their way. The tyrants think their hands are strong,They dance in darkness, they sing their song. But truth is clear, and lies decay—The dawn of justice will find its day. They think they win when homes they tear,They think no Judge is watching there. But every tear, and every cry,Is written clear in the endless sky. Allah is pleased with hearts that stand,With those who trust His mighty hand.Though earth may quake and cities fall,Their souls shall rise above it all. O wrongdoers! Rejoice no more,Your fleeting power is hollow lore. For Hell awaits the hands that slay,Allah is giving time—delay. So Gaza bleeds, yet Gaza prays,And angels shield their steadfast ways. For every wound, a garden blooms,And tyrants march to their own dooms.
